Bow Ties With Broccoli, Sweet Red Pepper And Recipe

  1. Heat oil in 12-inch non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add in garlic, broccoli stems and salt.
  3. Cook, uncovered, till very warm, about 2 min, stirring often.
  4. Add in broccoli florets, sweet red pepper and 1 1/4 c. vegetable broth.
  5. Bring to boil.
  6. Simmer 1 minute.
  7. Add in pasta.
  8. Simmer, uncovered, till pasta is warm and broccoli is just beginning to be tender, about 3 min, adding more broth as needed.
  9. Add in cheese and red pepper flakes.
  10. Toss well.
  11. Heat through, about 1 minute.
  12. Adjust seasonings to taste.
  13. Serve warm.
  14. Pass extra cheese separately.
  15. Makes 2 to 3 servings.
