Five Pounds Of Wonderful Fudge
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 1 tall can (14 1/2 oz.) evaporated milk
- 2 lb. sugar (4 1/2 c.)
- 1/2 lb. marshmallows
- 2 oz. unsweetened chocolate
- 2 pkg. (6 oz. each) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 3 pkg. (4 oz. each) sweet chocolate
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla extract
- 2 c. chopped nuts
- Combine butter, canned milk and sugar in a large heavy saucepan or Dutch oven.
- Stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
- Cook to a boil; cover and boil 5 minutes.
- Turn off heat.
- Add marshmallows; stir until melted.
- Add 3 kinds of chocolate, one at a time, stirring until melted.
- Add vanilla extract and nuts; blend.
- Pour into buttered pan (jelly roll), 10 x 15-inch, and let stand until firm before cutting in 1-inch squares.
- Whole pecan halves can be pressed into tops of squares if you wish!
