Tacos
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1/2 medium green pepper, chopped
- 1/2 c. ketchup
- 1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
- 1/4 tsp. chili powder
- A.1 sauce
- Worcestershire sauce
- salt and pepper
- dash of Texas Pete
- dash of garlic
- 1 can tortillas
- 1 pt. oil
- shredded cheese
- Saute onion and pepper in small amount of oil.
- Add meat and brown.
- Add ketchup, chili powder, A.1 sauce, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper to taste, Texas Pete and garlic.
- Simmer slowly. In small saucepan, heat oil until very hot.
- Then drop in one tortilla at a time.
- As soon as it hits the bottom, fold in half with a fork and remove.
- Drain on paper towel.
- Line all fried tortillas into baking pan.
- Fill each with some meat mixture and top with cheese.
- Put in oven long enough to melt cheese.
- Top with cut up lettuce and tomatoes.
- Use Texas Pete and ketchup on top.
