Stuffed Shells
- 1 box large shell noodles
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 can vegetarian Swiss steaks (4 to 6 pieces)
- 3 c. cottage cheese
- 1 to 2 c. Mozzarella cheese, grated
- 1 c. spaghetti sauce
- 1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
- 1 tsp. parsley flakes (optional)
- Saute the onion in a little margarine until tender.
- Mash up the Swiss steaks and add them and their juice to the pan with the onion.
- Add the seasonings, the cottage cheese, Mozzarella cheese and spaghetti sauce.
- Heat until cheeses melt.
- Let cool long enough so that the ingredients do not run out of the shells they they're stuffed.
- Stuff the cooked shells.
- Put a layer of spaghetti sauce in the bottom of a large 11 x 13-inch casserole dish.
- Put a single layer of stuffed shells in.
- Top the shells with more spaghetti sauce and Mozzarella cheese.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 25 minutes.
