Beef and Tomato Couscous
- 6 pieces sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
- 34 cup shredded beef jerky
- 2 teaspoons vegetable bouillon
- 2 tablespoons instant minced onion
- 1 tablespoon dried chives
- 1 tablespoon dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon cumin seed
- 12 teaspoon instant minced garlic
- 12 teaspoon fine sea salt
- 14 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 14 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 3 cups water
- 2 tablespoons ghee
- 1 12 cups couscous
- Shred Jerky in a blender.
- Mix all ingredients in a bowl (or a bag if you are hitting the trail) except water, Ghee, and Couscous.
- Bring Water and Ghee to a boil in a med saucepan.
- Mix in all ingredients from bowl (or bag) into the boiling water.
- Boil 8-10min.
- Stir in Couscous, cover and remove from heat.
- Wait 5 min, toss, and serve.
- Makes about 6 cups.
