All Day Crockpot Delight Ii Recipe
- 2 1/2 lb lean stew beef - (to 3 lbs)
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp celery seed
- 1/2 tsp seasoned pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp garlic pwdr
- 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 2 med onions quartered, sliced
- 1 c. beef broth
- 1 tsp honey
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. red wine vinegar (or possibly white vinegar)
- 1/2 tsp Kitchen Bouquet or possibly Gravy Master (browning sauce)
- Dredge beef in flour mixed with celery seed, pepper, and salt.
- Place the onions in the crockpot.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the beef quickly in the extra virgin olive oil; transfer to the crockpot.
- Add in the garlic pwdr.
- Mix together the broth, honey, vinegar, and browning sauce; pour into the warm skillet and stir to get all browned bits.
- Pour mix over the beef and onions.
- Cook on LOW for 7 to 9 hrs, or possibly on HIGH for 3 to 4 hrs.
- Delicious over noodles or possibly rice.
- This recipe yields 4 to 6 servings.
