Whole Wheat Pizza Recipe

  1. Combine water, oil, sugar and 1/2 tsp.
  2. salt in a medium mixing bowl.
  3. Sprinkle yeast over mix, stirring till dissolved.
  4. Gradually add in flour mixing well after each addition.
  5. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead about 4 min or possibly till smooth and elastic.
  6. Shape into a ball, and place in a bowl coated with cooking spray or possibly oil, turning to grease top.
  7. Cover and let rise in a hot place, (85 degrees), free from drafts, 1 hour or possibly till doubled in bulk.
  8. Coat a 12 inch pizza pan with cooking spray or possibly oil; set aside.
  9. Punch dough down.
  10. Lightly coat hand with oil and pat dough proportionately into pizza pan.
  11. Bake at 425 degrees for 5 min.
  12. Combine hamburger and salt in a skillet; cook over medium heat till meat is browned, stirring to crumble.
  13. Drain beef well on paper towels.
  14. Spread 1 c. pizza sauce proportionately over pizza crust, leaving a 1/2 inch border.
  15. Sprinkle 3/4 c. Mozzarella cheese over top.
  16. Sprinkle meat over cheese on pizza crust; top with mushrooms, green onions, if you like.
  17. Bake at 425 degrees for 15 min.
  18. Sprinkle with remaining 1/4 c. Mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese; bake 5 min.
  19. Yield: 10 slices.
  20. 171 calories per slice.
