Plum Pudding
- 1 c. suet
- 2 c. bread crumbs
- 2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. cloves
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 c. seedless raisins
- 1 c. assorted citron
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 c. dark molasses
- 1 c. sour milk
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- Mix the first 6 ingredients together.
- Add raisins and citron. Separate eggs and beat separately.
- To egg yolks, add the next 3 ingredients, then mix with dry ingredients.
- Fold in beaten egg whites.
- Put into greased cans or bowls; fill 1/2 to 2/3 full. Cover each bowl tightly with lid or foil.
- Place bowl on a rack in roasting pan.
- Fill pan halfway up sides of bowls with hot water. Cover pan with roaster lid or aluminum foil.
- Put into oven at 300u0b0 and leave for 3 hours.
- Do not disturb.
- Makes two bowls.
