Champagne Poached Pears (Microwave)

  1. Soak prepared pears in champagne (or fruit juice if substituting) for 1 hour or up to overnight.
  2. Prior to serving, place each pear in small, microwavable serving dish with a little of the reserved champagne (or fruit juice); microwave for 30 seconds on high for each pear.
  3. Sprinkle with ground cinnamon to taste.
  4. Spoon (or pipe with a star tip) yogurt onto each pear (in the indentation).
  5. Sprinkle with the granola of your choosing, and top with a few fresh berries.
  6. Garnish with a small sprig of mint or basil if desired.
  7. Serve immediately.
