Banana Split Cake
- 3 c. vanilla wafer crumbs
- 3/4 c. margarine, softened
- 3 c. powdered sugar
- 1 (8 oz.) cream cheese or 1 c. margarine
- 5 bananas
- 1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained
- 1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained
- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. Cool Whip
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans
- 1 (6 oz.) bottle red maraschino cherries, sliced
- lemon juice
- Mix vanilla wafer crumbs and soft margarine.
- Spread in bottom of 3-quart baking dish.
- Mix powdered sugar and cream cheese or margarine.
- Beat with mixer until light and fluffy.
- Spread over crumb mixture and chill 1 hour.
- Slice bananas round and sprinkle with lemon juice.
- Layer bananas, then pineapple, then Cool Whip. Garnish top with pecans and cherries.
