Vino Joes
- 1 lb ground beef
- 34 cup chopped onion
- 34 cup chopped green bell pepper
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1 (14 ounce) can diced tomatoes, drained
- 12 cup dry red wine
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 14 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 2 teaspoons celery seeds
- salt and pepper
- 12 Italian rolls, toasted
- Cook ground beef, onion, bell pepper and garlic over medium heat in a large skillet until beef is browned, crumbling with a fork.
- Transfer to slow cooker.
- Add remaining ingredients except salt, pepper and rolls.
- Cover and cook on high for 2-3 hours.
- Season to taste with salt and pepper.
- Serve on rolls.
