Quick-Baked Pasta
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 3 cloves garlic, peeled, crushed
- 1/2 c. half and half
- 3/4 c. spaghetti sauce
- 3/4 c. brown gravy (homemade or packaged)
- 1/4 c. Parmesan or Romano cheese
- 1 tsp. dried whole oregano
- 1/2 tsp. dried whole rosemary
- salt/pepper to taste
- 3/4 lb. penne pasta (short small pasta tubes)
- 1 c. Mozzarella or Swiss cheese, grated (topping)
- Bring to boil, 4 quarts water.
- Heat oil in frying pan and add beef and garlic.
- Saute until meat is tender; drain fat.
- Add all remaining ingredients except cheese for topping and pasta.
- Simmer mixture while pasta cooks until barely tender.
- Drain pasta, mix with sauce.
- Pour into 3 quart glass rectangular baking dish and top with remaining cheese.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 25 minutes, uncovered or until bubbly hot.
