Holiday Sugar Cookies

  1. Mix flour and baking soda in small bowl; set aside.
  2. Beat margarine or butter, 3/4 cup sugar, orange peel and vanilla in large bowl with electric mixer at medium speed until creamy.
  3. Add egg substitute; beat for 1 minute.
  4. Gradually stir in flour mixture until blended.
  5. Refrigerate dough for 1 hour.
  6. Shape dough into 42 (3/4-inch) balls; roll in remaining sugar.
  7. Place 2 inches apart on lightly greased baking sheets.
  8. Flatten with bottom of glass.
  9. Sprinkle with colored sugar or sprinkles if desired.
  10. Bake at 375F for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightl y browned.
  11. Cool on wire rack.
  12. Decorate as desired.
