Simple Chikuwa Nanban
- 2 Chikuwa
- 1 1/2 tsp Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Vinegar
- 1/2 tsp Sugar
- 2 tsp Sesame seeds (ground)
- 1/2 tsp Sesame oil
- 2 tbsp Tartar sauce
- Cut the chikuwa in half lengthwise, then quarter horizontally (to make a total of 8 pieces).
- Score the inside of the chikuwa as shown.
- Put the ingredients in a plastic bag.
- Massage the bag from the outside and marinate the chikuwa for 10 minutes.
- In a frying pan or toaster oven, cook until golden brown.
- Serve with tartar sauce.
