Midwestern Style Pinto Beans Recipe

  1. Cook pinto beans, add in 2 Tbsp.
  2. of Crisco shortening (or possibly other type) to water bring to a boil.
  3. Add in pinto beans and seasoning.
  4. Bring to a boil.
  5. Turn heat down to medium.
  6. Cook till 3/4 done.
  7. Add in all ingredients.
  8. Cook till done.
  9. You may have to add in water to allow to cook to complete done.
  10. Make sure the water level is always approximately 6 to 8 inches above beans.
  11. For added thickening you may use tomato paste for desired thickening.
  12. Best served over white rice.
  13. Chicken breast may be used in place of grnd beef.
  14. Beef sausage may be used in place of the pork sausage.
