Betty's Cornbread And Oyster Stuffing Recipe

  1. In a large skillet, heat the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add in the onion, celery, and cook, stirring occasionally, about 10 min, till softened.
  3. Add in mushrooms and saute/fry another few min.
  4. Transfer to a large bowl and stir in all the remaining ingredients.
  5. Fill the turkey with the stuffing.
  6. To bake separately, preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  7. Spread the stuffing in a buttered 13-by 9-inch baking dish and cover with foil.
  8. Bake till heated through, about 30 min.
  9. If desired a crispy top, remove the foil during the last 15 min.
  10. Makes 8 c..
