Smothered Spareribs

  1. Combine flour, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper and red pepper in a pan.
  2. Mix well.
  3. Cut ribs into serving size; wash and pat dry on paper towel.
  4. Set aside in large skillet.
  5. Add oil over medium heat.
  6. Dredge ribs in flour mixture.
  7. Place ribs in hot oil and brown real well on all sides.
  8. Remove ribs.
  9. Pour out most of oil.
  10. Add onion, celery and bell pepper; fry for about 5 minutes.
  11. Place ribs in skillet; add water.
  12. Cover and cook on low heat.
  13. Add Kitchen Bouquet and more seasonings; cook about 1 1/2 hours.
