Beef Oriental
- 1 lb. round steak, sliced into thin, long strips
- 1 tsp. seasoned meat tenderizer
- 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
- 2 c. fresh broccoli pieces
- 1 c. sliced celery
- 1 c. carrots, cut in thin strips
- 1/4 tsp. minced garlic
- 1 tsp. minced onion
- 1/2 c. water
- 4 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- Sprinkle meat with tenderizer and ginger; let stand for 30 minutes.
- In a large skillet; stir-fry vegetables in 2 tablespoons of hot oil for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from skillet; set aside.
- Add 2 tablespoons of oil to skillet.
- Cook meat, onion and garlic; stir-fry 5 minutes.
- Combine remaining ingredients.
- Add liquid and vegetables to meat in skillet. Cook, stirring continuously until sauce thickens.
- Serve over rice.
