Turkey Burgers
- 1 pound Ground Turkey, Dark Meat
- 1/2 Small Red Onion, Finely Diced
- 1/2 Red Pepper, Finely Diced
- 3 cloves Garlic, Minced
- 1 Tablespoon Dijon Mustard
- 1 teaspoon Liquid Smoke (optional)
- 1/2 cups Panko Breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon Salt, More To Taste
- 1/2 teaspoons Pepper, More To Taste
- 1/2 teaspoons Garlic Powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
- 1 Egg
- 1 Large Zucchini
- 1 dash Salt
- 4 slices Provolone Cheese
- 4 Hamburger Buns
- 2 Tablespoons Purchased Pesto
- 1 cup Spinach, Or As Desired
- Preheat your grill.
- Mix the patty ingredients together in a large bowl.
- Fry up a small peice of the burger mixture and once its done, check to see if you need to adjust your seasonings.
- Form your turkey burger mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.
- Slice zucchini into very thin strips lengthwise.
- Lightly salt the zucchini slices and let them sit on a paper towel to draw the water out.
- Grill the burgers on medium heat for about 7-9 minutes on each side or until fully cooked.
- When the burgers are about 2 minutes away from being done, top with provolone and put the zucchini slices on the grill and cook for 1 minute on each side.
- Place a patty on each bun, spread 1/2 a tablespoon of the pesto on each top bun.
- Top the patties with a slice of grilled zucchini and a small bunch of spinach.
- Enjoy!
