White Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 1 23 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 12 teaspoons baking powder
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 12 cup butter, softened
- 14 cup sunflower oil or 14 cup peanut oil
- 34 cup light brown sugar, lightly packed
- 1 large egg, lightly beaten
- 12 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1 cup walnuts, chopped
- Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl.
- Beat the butter,oil, and brown sugar in a large bowl with an electric mixer at high speed until creamy.
- Add the egg and vanilla, beating until just blended.
- Mix in the dry ingredients, chocolate chips, and walnuts.
- Form the dough into a 7 in long log, wrap plastic wrap (cling firm), and refrigerate for at least 30 minute.
- Preheat oven to 375F.
- Prepare baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Slice the dough 1/4 inch thick and place 2 in apart on prepared cookie sheets.
- Bake until just golden at the edges, 8-10 minutes.
- Transfer to racks to cool.
