Swiss Steak for 2

  1. Cut meat into 2 pieces.
  2. Mix flour, 1/4 teaspoon salt and the pepper; coat meat with flour mixture.
  3. Heat oil in 8-inch skillet; brown meat over medium heat about 15 minutes.
  4. Add tomatoes to skillet.
  5. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 30 minutes.
  6. Add green pepper, onion and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
  7. Cover and simmer until meat is fork tender, 30-45 minutes.
  8. (Add small amount of water if necessary).
