Orange Cookies With Orange Icing

  1. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Add eggs, sour cream and orange flavoring.
  3. Sift together flour, baking soda and baking powder.
  4. Add alternately with orange juice to mixture until batter is stiff but not too dry or too soupy.
  5. Add pecans, if desired.
  6. Refrigerate for 1 hour but not longer than overnight. Place on buttered cookie sheet by rounded teaspoonfuls.
  7. Bake at 400u0b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
  8. Bottoms should be only lightly browned.
  9. Cool on wax paper-covered racks until ready to frost.
