Delicious Double Peppercorn Filet Mignon

  1. Preheat oven to 150 degrees F.
  2. Heat oil in large frying pan.
  3. When hot, add meat and cook 2 minutes over medium-high.
  4. Turn meat over and season; continue cooking 6 minutes.
  5. Turn 3 times during cooking time.
  6. Place meat on ovenproof platter and keep hot in oven.
  7. Heat butter in frying pan.
  8. Add shallots and mushrooms; cook 3 to 4 minutes over medium heat.
  9. Stir occasionally.
  10. Mash green peppercorns with cream; stir in ground black peppercorns.
  11. Add chives.
  12. Pour pepper mixture and brown sauce into pan; cook 3 to 4 minutes over medium-high.
  13. Season to taste and continue cooking 2 minutes.
