Mandel Bread Recipe
- 1/4 pound butter
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 3 Large eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- Raisins and minced or possibly slivered almonds (walnuts may also be used)
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Cream butter and sugar in a mixer.
- Add in Large eggs one at a time, beating after each egg.
- Add in baking pwdr and vanilla.
- Add in flour slowly.
- Dough may get thick.
- Stir in nuts and raisins.
- On a greased cookie sheet, make 2 loaves of dough and bake at 350 degrees for 25 min.
- Take out baked loaves and slice into 1 inch pcs.
- Separate pcs and put back in oven for 5 min to get crisp.
