Chocolate Caramel Pie Recipe

  1. Dissolve (heat) 1/2 c. of sugar in 1 c. lowfat milk in saucepan.
  2. Beat 3 yolks and 1 white, 1/2 c. sugar, 1 level tbsp.
  3. flour.
  4. Add in 1/2 c. cream, butter, salt.
  5. Cook till thickened, add in vanilla.
  6. Save egg whites.
  7. Prepare 1 package instant chocolate pudding (less 1/2 c. lowfat milk as per package directions).
  8. Pour on top of caramel mix in large pie shell.
  9. Egg whites can be used as meringue - optional.
  10. Cold.
