Easy Jam-Filled Cookies

  1. Heat oven to 350F.
  2. Beat cream cheese, butter and granulated sugar in large bowl with mixer until blended.
  3. Separate 1 egg; reserve white for later use.
  4. Add yolk, second (whole) egg and vanilla to cream cheese mixture; mix well.
  5. Gradually beat in combined flour and baking powder until blended.
  6. Divide dough into 4 equal pieces.
  7. Roll each piece into 12x1-inch log; place, 2 inches apart, on large baking sheet.
  8. Use handle of wooden spoon or fingers to make 1/2-inch-wide and 1/2-inch-deep depression down center of each log.
  9. Beat reserved egg white with fork; brush over dough.
  10. Sprinkle with nuts.
  11. Fill depressions with jam.
  12. Bake 25 to 27 min.
  13. or until edges are lightly browned.
  14. Transfer to wire racks; cool.
  15. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
  16. Cut each log into 12 diagonal slices.
