baked macaroni and cheese

  1. cook noodles in salted water
  2. while noodles are cooking melt butter in a medium sauce pan
  3. once butter is melted slowly add flour and dry mustard.
  4. constantly stir for about 5minutes on low heat.
  5. make sure there are no lumps.
  6. add milk, onion, worchester sauce, salt and pepper to taste.
  7. cook over medium low heat until sauce begins to thickening.
  8. (about 10minutes)
  9. temper in lightly beaten egg
  10. stir in 3/4 cheese a little at a time until completely melted
  11. pour over buttered noodles and mix until all noodles are coated
  12. bake 20mins at 350 covered.
  13. mix remaining cheese in with noodles and sauce.
  14. remove cover and bake about 10more minutes until top is golden brown
