Scallops Au Gratin

  1. Parboil scallops 2 minutes; drain, reserving 1 cup of liquid. Put scallops in a greased 2-quart casserole.
  2. In pot, melt butter and cook onion until tender.
  3. Add flour, then pepper, milk and liquid.
  4. Stir until thickens; add mushrooms, Parmesan cheese and parsley flakes.
  5. Cover scallops with creamed mixture; top with American cheese, then chips.
  6. Cook, covered, for 20 minutes at 350u0b0.
  7. Also good made with crabmeat or combination of seafood.
