Tasty Applesauce Pie
- 1 can (16 oz.) or 1 jar (15 oz.) applesauce
- 1 c. firmly packed dark brown sugar
- 1/4 c. butter
- dash of salt
- 1 c. golden raisins
- 4 eggs
- unbaked 10-inch pie shell
- 3/4 c. buttermilk biscuit mix (Bisquick)
- 1/4 c. granulated sugar
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- In a 2-quart saucepan, turn the applesauce and brown sugar. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes; removed from heat.
- Add 1/4 cup butter and the salt; stir until butter is melted.
- Stir in raisins.
- Cool to room temperature.
- In a small mixing bowl, beat the eggs well; add to cooled applesauce mixture and blend well.
- Pour into pie shell.
- Bake in a preheated 375u0b0 oven on rack below center, for 20 minutes.
