Barb's Cold Comfort Tea
- 1 tablespoon echinacea root
- 1 tablespoon peppermint leaf
- 1 tablespoon catnip, leaves
- 1 tablespoon yarrow leaves
- 1 tablespoon lemon balm leaves
- honey, if desired
- lemon, if desired
- To Decoct: Add 1 cup of water and about 1/4 tsp echinacea to a pot and bring to a boil.
- Simmer, covered for 20 minutes.
- Combine the other herbs and add about 1 tsp of the mixture to the pot.
- Stir well, remove from heat, cover and steep 10-15 minutes.
- Strain and serve hot with honey and lemon, if desired.
- To Brew: Combine all ingredients.
- Boil water, pour one cup over one tsp of herbs for each cub.
- Steep 10-15 minutes.
- Strain and serve hot with honey and lemon, if desired.
