Beef Stew with Cheddar Dumplings

  1. Combine flour, salt and pepper.
  2. Coat meat with flour mixture.
  3. In a Dutch oven,heat oil over medium-high.
  4. Brown meat on all sides.
  5. Add onion salt and garlicsalt, browning sauce, water and bouillon.
  6. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer, covered, about 1 hour.
  7. Add carrots and onion.
  8. Simmer, covered, until vegetables are tender.
  9. Stir in green beans.
  10. For dumplings, combine biscuit mix and cheese.
  11. Stir in enough milk to form a soft dough.
  12. Drop by tablespoonfuls into bubbling stew.
  13. Cover and simmer 12 minutes (do not lift cover) or until dumplings test done.
  14. Serve immediately.
