Barb's Hot Tamale Chili Recipe
- 2 lbs. grnd chuck
- 2 lg. onions, minced
- 3 cloves chopped garlic
- 1/2 pound grnd sausage
- 2 quarts. tomatoes
- 2 quarts. tomato juice
- 2 Packages chili man chili
- 3 tbsp. chili pwdr
- 1 teaspoon chili peppers, crushed
- 1 c. cooked macaroni
- 2 lg. cans kidney beans
- 1 lg. can chili bean
- 1 lg. can pinto beans
- 1 lg. can navy beans
- 2 lg. cans warm tamales
- 1 tbsp. parsley
- 1 teaspoon onion salt
- 2 teaspoon garlic salt
- 2 c. cheddar cheese
- 1 c. lowfat sour cream
- Saute/fry hamburger, sausage, garlic and onion.
- Cook macaroni per box directions.
- Combine all ingredients in large pot except cheese and lowfat sour cream and tamales.
- Cook several hrs on low temperature till thickens.
- Before serving, add in cheese, tamales cut up and lowfat sour cream.
- Serve with cornbread.
