Chocolate Pound Cake

  1. Sift flour with cocoa, baking powder and salt; set aside. Lightly grease and flour a 10-inch tube pan.
  2. Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
  3. In a large bowl, beat at medium speed, butter, shortening and sugar until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add eggs, one at a time.
  5. With mixer at low speed, beat in flour mixture in 4 additions alternately with milk in 3 additions, beginning and ending with flour mixture.
  6. Add grated chocolate and vanilla. Bake for 1 hour and 15 to 20 minutes or until tester comes out clean.
  7. Let cool 10 minutes, then turn from pan.
