Black Eyed Peas

  1. Presoak the peas as directed on the package.
  2. Drain the water from the peas and place the peas in a crock pot.
  3. Add all the other ingredients with just enough water to cover the peas.
  4. Stir well to mix.
  5. Cover and cook on LOW setting for 8-10 hours.
  6. I hope this becomes a favorite at your house.
  7. Serve it with grilled chicken or your favorite meat, or better yet, make it the whole meal with a side of greens and cornbread.
