Tuna-Macaroni Toss
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. bow tie macaroni
- 4 Tbsp. butter or oleo
- 1 small onion, minced
- 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 1 chicken flavor bouillon cube
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 (6 1/2 to 7 oz.) can tuna, drained and flaked
- 1 Tbsp. chopped parsley to garnish
- In a 5-quart saucepot, cook macaroni as directed; drain. Return to saucepot; keep warm.
- Meanwhile, in 2-quart saucepan over medium heat, melt butter or oleo.
- Add onion and cook until tender, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in flour until blended; cook 1 minute.
- Gradually stir in milk, bouillon, salt and pepper. Cook until thickened and smooth, stirring constantly.
- Stir in tuna and heat through.
- Gently toss macaroni in saucepot with tuna mixture.
- Spoon mixture into warm bowl; garnish with parsley.
