Greek Hamburger Stuffing Recipe
- 1/4 pound butter
- 5 lbs. hamburger
- 1 c. minced onion
- Salt/pepper/parsley/dill
- 1 pound chestnuts
- 1 c. walnuts (finely grated)
- 1 sm. can tomato paste
- 1/2 c. rice
- Poultry seasoning
- Wine
- Pignolia nuts (golden brown raisins), optional
- Boil chestnuts, peel and mash; set aside.
- Heat butter, add in hamburger and brown.
- Add in onions and spices.
- Add in chestnuts, walnuts.
- Add in turkey juice from pan drippings.
- Add in tomato paste, rice, poultry seasoning, wine and pignolia nuts.
- Put into large baking dish.
- Bake at 375 degrees 45 min.
- Add in more turkey juice as needed to keep moist.
