Eight Layer Quiche
- 1 deep-dish pie shell
- 1/4 c. chopped green pepper
- 1/4 c. chopped green onion
- 4 oz. mushrooms, sliced
- 1/2 lb. sausage
- 1/2 lb. ham, cut into pieces
- 4 strips bacon, diced
- 2 chicken breasts, cut into small pieces
- 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
- 4 eggs
- 1 pt. half and half
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- Saute pepper, onion, mushrooms, sausage, ham, bacon and chicken together in a large skillet.
- Simmer for 6 to 8 minutes.
- Drain and place in the bottom of the unbaked pie shell.
- Top with cheese.
- In a separate bowl, beat the eggs.
- Add half and half and the flour to the eggs and mix until smooth.
- Pour into pie shell.
- Bake at 450u0b0 for 10 minutes.
- Reduce oven to 350u0b0 and continue baking 20 to 25 minutes or until set.
- Serves 6.
