Chocolate Almond Torte

  1. Mix dry ingredients of the crust together.
  2. Add the softened butter and mix thoroughly.
  3. Pat into the bottom of a pie dish.
  4. It should have the consistency of a graham cracker crust.
  5. Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes.
  6. It should be lightly brown.
  7. Remove from over and let cool.
  8. Melt chocolate in a double boiler, or very carefully in a thick bottomed pot.
  9. Add cream and mix until smooth.
  10. Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla.
  11. Beat the butter into the mix.
  12. Pour into prepared crust.
  13. Refrigerate until set.
