Rich Cheesecake Brownies
- 1 (23 ounce) package fudge brownie mix
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk (NOT evaporated milk)
- 2 eggs
- 1 12 teaspoons peppermint extract
- food coloring, green (optional)
- 14 cup butter
- 2 tablespoons cocoa
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 1 34 cups powdered sugar
- Prepare brownie mix as directed on package.
- Spread into well greased 13x9 inch pan.
- Bake at 350F for 15 minutes.
- Beat cheese until fluffy.
- Gradually beat in milk until smooth.
- Add eggs, extract and food coloring.
- Mix well.
- Pour evenly over baked brownies.
- Bake at 350F for 25 minutes or until lightly browned.
- Cool.
- Spread frosting.
- FOR FROSTING: Mix cocoa, butter and milk in a sauce pan and bring to a boil.
- Remove from heat and add powdered sugar.
- Mix well.
- While frosting is warm spread on brownies.
- Store brownies covered in refrigerator.
