Homestyle Shepherd's Pie

  1. Heat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Cook potatoes in large saucepan of boiling water 20 to 25 min.
  3. or until tender.
  4. Meanwhile, brown meat with onions on medium-high heat in large nonstick skillet; drain.
  5. Return meat mixture to skillet.
  6. Add vegetables and garlic; cook and stir 1 min.
  7. Stir in broth; bring to boil.
  8. Mix cream cheese product and milk until blended.
  9. Add 1/4 cup to meat mixture in skillet; cook and stir 1 to 2 min.
  10. or until heated through.
  11. Spoon into 8-inch square baking dish sprayed with cooking spray.
  12. Drain potatoes, reserving 1/4 cup of the cooking water.
  13. Return potatoes and remaining cream cheese mixture to saucepan; mash until smooth, adding some of the reserved cooking water if necessary.
  14. Spread over meat mixture in baking dish.
  15. Bake 25 to 30 min.
  16. or until heated through.
