Pretty Party Punch

• 1 cup sugar
• 2 (1/4 ounce) envelopes unsweetened Kool-Aid powdered drink mix, black cherry
• 1 cup hot water
• 2 liters carbonated lemon-lime beverage, chilled
• 2 liters ginger ale, chilled

1. In a small bowl, stir the sugar, soft drink mix and hot water until sugar is dissolved.
2. Cool to room temperature.
3. Just before serving, combine the soft drink mixture, lemon-lime soda and ginger ale in a large punch bowl.
