Cabbage Rolls
- 2 heads cabbage
- 1/2 lb. ground pork
- 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1 can Ro-Tel tomatoes
- 1 large chopped onion
- 3 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 2 sticks celery, chopped
- parsley
- cooked rice (approximately 2 c.)
- Remove cores of cabbage.
- In a large pot, steam cabbage and remove each leaf as it loosens.
- Save hearts of cabbage and chop. Put ground meat in a large bowl.
- Add onion tops and parsley.
- Mix well; salt and pepper to taste.
- Add tomato sauce and Ro-Tel tomatoes; mix well.
- Add chopped cabbage hearts to meat mixture. Add cooled, cooked rice to meat and cabbage mixture; mix well.
- Put one spoon of dressing in each cabbage leaf and roll up.
- Place in roaster by layers; salt and pepper each layer.
- Put two fingers of water in roaster.
- Cook, covered, at 325u0b0 for about 1 1/2 hours.
