Five Flavor Pound Cake
- 2 sticks margarine or butter
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 3 c. sugar
- 5 eggs, well beaten
- 3 c. plain flour
- 1 c. milk
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. coconut extract
- 1 tsp. rum extract
- 1 tsp. butter extract
- 1 tsp. lemon extract
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- Cream the butter, shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Add extracts.
- Beat eggs until light and lemon colored. Add sifted together flour, baking powder and salt to creamed mixture alternately with milk.
- Spoon mixture into greased and floured 10-inch tube pan lined with greased brown paper (optional).
- Bake in a 325u0b0 oven for approximately 1 1/2 hours or until done.
- Add glaze, if desired, or cool in pan before turning out on a cooling rack.
