Southwestern-Style Baby Back Ribs

  1. Preheat oven to 350F
  2. Juice one lemon and slice another.
  3. Combine lemon, ketchup, molasses, chili pepper, oregano, & cumin
  4. Brush 1/2 cup of mixture all over ribs.
  5. Place in roasting pan.
  6. Scatter lemon slices over ribs.
  7. Sprinkle with onion and garlic.
  8. Add ginger ale & cover tightly.
  9. Place in oven and cover for 1-1 1/2 hours or until very tender
  10. Cool ribs in liquid, about 25 minutes
  11. Preheat grill to medium high and grease lightly
  12. Remove ribs from cooking liquid and discard liquid, lemons, and onion
  13. Place ribs on grill.
  14. Cook, turning and basting often with remaining sauce, 8-10 minutes or until well glazed
