Bob'S Barbecue Sauce
- 1 c. onions, diced
- 4 Tbsp. drippings (bacon grease)
- 2 c. water
- 8 Tbsp. vinegar
- 4 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 c. lemon juice (remove seeds from pulp, add pulp to mixture with some peel)
- 8 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 4 to 8 oz. Heinz chili sauce
- 2 tsp. seasoned salt
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. hot dry mustard
- 1 tsp. curry powder
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. cumin
- 1 tsp. ground ginger
- 2 tsp. ground coriander
- 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper
- 6 dashes heavy Louisiana hot sauce
- Simmer onions and drippings 20 minutes until onions are clear. In a separate bowl, mix remaining ingredients.
- Simmer together with onions and drippings for 30 to 40 minutes.
