Heart Healthy Mediterranean Stew

  1. Broil beef on rack about 20 minutes or until rare, turning once.
  2. Melt margarine in medium saucepan.
  3. Add onion and beef; cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Add remaining ingredients and stir to combine.
  5. Cover and simmer 2 to 2 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.
  6. Remove garlic, bay leaf and cinnamon stick before serving.
  7. May be thickened with flour.
  8. Makes 4 servings.
