Lemon Pound Cake

  1. Put all ingredients for cake in bowl and beat 3 minutes.
  2. Pour in greased and floured tube pan.
  3. Bake @ 325 degrees approximately an hour.
  4. (I tend to underbake this cake a bit it is moist and delicious).
  5. LEMON GLAZE: Mix 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar and lemon juice until its smooth but still thick.
  6. Pour over cake while still hot.
  7. (I usually poke holes in this cake with a skewer so the icing will penetrate).
