Aunt Pearl'S White Fruit Cake

  1. Cream together the butter and sugar.
  2. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.
  3. Add flour and liquid alternately.
  4. Dust the fruit, which has been chopped if necessary, with a little extra flour.
  5. Fold carefully into batter; fold in nuts.
  6. Pour into a prepared tube pan.
  7. Bake in a slow 300u0b0 oven for 4 hours.
  8. This makes a huge cake that will fill the 10-inch tube pan to the top.
