B/M Herb Rolls Recipe
- 4 Tbsp. Butter or possibly margarine
- 3 Tbsp. Finely minced onion
- 1 x Clove garlic, lg chopped
- 3/4 tsp Dry oregano
- 3/4 tsp Dry basil
- 3/4 tsp Dry tarragon
- 1 c. Water
- 3 c. All-purpose flour
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 1/2 tsp Sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp Red Star yeast
- In a small skillet, heat the butter.
- Add in the onion, garlic, and herbs.
- Saute/fry over medium heat till the onion is soft, about 5 minutes.
- Cold to room temperature.
- Place all ingredients in the bread pan (including the cooled onion mix), select Dough setting, press Start.
- When dough has risen long sufficient, machine will beep.
- Turn off bread machine, remove bread pan, and turn out dough onto a floured countertop or possibly cutting board.
- Gently roll and stretch dough into a 24-inch rope.
- For 1 1/2 lb: With a sharp knife, divide dough into 18 pcs.
- Roll into balls and place in a greased muffin tin(s), 9" x 13" pan or possibly on a greased cookie sheet.
- Cover and let rise in a hot place for 30 - 45 minutes till doubled.
- Bake in 400 oven 12- 15 minutes till golden brown.
- Serve hot.
