Candied Apples

  1. Peel apples, core and cut them in half, and remove seeds.
  2. Place them in a 9x12 baking pan.
  3. In a small bowl, mix sugar, cornstarch and jello.
  4. Using a saucepan, bring to boil the cold water and jello mixture.
  5. Remove from heat and let cool.
  6. It will thicken upon standing.
  7. Once cool, spoon syrup over apples.
  8. Cover with foil,folding back corners.
  9. Cut slits to vent.
  10. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until apples are tender.
